What to do before arriving to study abroad

There are a few things you’ll need to make sure you do before travelling to the UK to start your programme at the International Study Centre. They are as follows:

  • Confirm your offer

Visit our fees page to see what you need to pay to confirm your offer and to be issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS).

  • Arrange your visa

You can apply for your UK study visa once we have issued you with your CAS. Contact us if you have any questions.

  • Confirm your accommodation

You can apply for accommodation online. You will be contacted with further guidance on how to apply for accommodation once you have received an offer from the International Study Centre. Discover your accommodation options.

  • Organise insurance

It is essential that all international students have health, medical and personal insurance. You can organise your own, or find out more about StudyCare insurance.

  • Book your travel

You can book your travel to the UK when you receive your visa. The nearest international airports are Cardiff and Bristol, and you can get a coach to Cardiff from there.

  • Arrive on time

You will have access to your accommodation from the 23rd September 2020. In your first week, you will take part in orientation activities and get to know the people and places around you. These normally include tours, information talks, and team games. You will receive further information when your place at the International Study Centre is confirmed

Support at every step

You will be sent all the information you need in the weeks and months leading up to starting your programme. Your student enrolment advisor will be happy to answer any questions you may have, or you can visit our FAQs page to find answers.
